Now who wants to get crafty?

The season is upon us where we are visiting and sharing good times with family and friends.  I know that a few of you for sure will be needing a wine bottle gift bag to wrap up someone's favorite bottle of wine.

For this challenge I would like you to get out some Core'dinations cardstock and add some embellishments to an existing GIFT bag to really create a WOW factor to your gift presentation.

Pick out a new or up-cycle an existing GIFT  bag from your stash and add some Core'dinations cardstock to your pretty.  If wine is not your choice of beverage, how about a gift bag for your hostess or special recipient.

Here I have used embossed Core'dinations card stock and die cut some flourishes as well as some  leaves to embellish my gift bag with a  Core'dinations border at the base of the wine bag.  I was super happy to have up-cycled this clear gift bag, which allowed for some fun transparency mirror like embellishments.

Add a bow, tulle, leaves and any embellishment to express the occasion for the gift giving.  This can be a quick up-scaled gift giving presentation.  Have fun being creative and see how much enjoyment you will bring to your host.

  1. GORGEOUS gift bag Ava - your flowers and flourishes are DELIGHTFUL!!!
FUN challenge too, putting my thinking cap on before I start cutting my Core :)

  2. Gorgeous gift bag! I am going to have to try my hand at this one.

  3. Do I drink the wine before, during, or after the crop ? Oh, I misread. Anyway, this is a definite after lunch project !

  4. Love this gift bag and stunning flowers! Beautiful work!

  5. Beautiful Ava! Have a great weekend! Smiles, Jill

  6. This is such a great idea because I give wine every year and your example is beautiful. I just checked our gift-bag bin and I don't have any wine bags. I am going to have to get creative. Any suggestions?

    1. Rachel, any type of gift bag will be acceptable for this challenge as well. If you are determined to use a wine bag, try googling templates and see if you get one. Just be sure that you re-inforce the whole bag by using heavy twine or ribbon from one handle all the way down the inside of the bag, along the bottom, up the other side and tie off with the other side of the bag handle. That should handle the weight of the bottle.

    2. Great to hear that it can be any type of gift bag ... I couldn't find a wine one in my stash - thank you Ava :)

  7. Gorgeous, Ava! I love the colors!

  8. lovely presentation, ava! of course i love all the textures!!!

  9. I would have never thought to make those beautiful flowers out of burlap! What a cool idea! I love the deep yummy brown too. Lovely!

  10. Love your gift bag!! Thanks for the fun challenge, I enjoyed it!
